The number is 13 characters long, beginning with the first letter of the participant's last name followed by 12 numbers. The log will need to be shown again to a Driver Testing Examiner showing that at least 50 hours (including 10 hours of nighttime driving) were completed before the teen is allowed to take the Driving Skills Test. Please note: You will need the participant's MICHIGAN GRADUATED LEVEL 1 LEARNER'S LICENSE number when registering for this class. The examiner will confirm that the driving log shows the teen completed at least 50 hours of driving (including 10 hours of nighttime driving) before attempting the driving skills test. Teens holding a Level 1 GDL also will need to present the driving log prior to taking a driving skills test. The driving log must show that the student completed at least 30 hours of driving (including 2 hours of nighttime driving). Teens will be required to present a log documenting their supervised practice driving prior to beginning a Segment 2 class.

  • Students must have completed a total of 30 hours of driving time with a parent/guardian prior to the first day of class.
  • Students must hold a Level 1 Learners License for 90 days prior to the first day of class.
